Pricing Methodology and Tariffs

Horizon's line charges cover the cost of transmitting electricity across Transpower's national grid and distributing electricity to you across Horizon's local distribution network.

Our line charges do not include charges for the electricity you use or metering charges.

Your electricity retailer bills you for our line charges on our behalf. This avoids the additional expense of both Horizon and your retailer establishing a billing system, and the need for you to make two separate payments. If you would like to discuss how our line charges are applied to your bill, please contact your electricity retailer.
