We would like to advise customers Horizon Energy has commenced controlling of the hot water heaters connected to our network earlier than usual because of the cold snap in the weather. This means hot water cylinders are likely to be turned off on cold days typically between the hours of 7.30am to 9.30am and 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Following a load control period it may take some time for your hot water cylinder to reach its normal operating temperature and, if they use a lot of hot water during that time, some customers may run out of hot water.
