Who Owns the Power Lines?

In most cases, overhead power lines outside the boundaries of private property are owned by Horizon Energy and if they connect to your house they are privately owned (service lines).  In some cases, power lines on private property will also be owned by Horizon Energy.

Regardless of whether the power lines are owned by Horizon Energy or are privately owned, it is the responsibility of the tree owner to ensure that the tree is maintained in accordance with the regulations.
